for reading fanfiction before bed. A scene from a MASH fic played itself out in my dreams – a scene that I really wish I hadn’t read. Although, without the character pairing that bugged me so much in the story (canon w/Mary Sue – a mary sue that until that moment hadn’t appeared in the story, but suddenly she’s mistaken for her twin sister (a canon character) when caught in flagrante delicto with another canon character)… leaving out the mash characters, the setting, and the poorly written storyline, the scene made a rather weird dream, just involving me and people I know. No, who am I kidding?
The story left me squicky, and so does the dream. *shudder*
Mercifully, it was a rather short dream, and then I was getting out of my car, getting ready to go through some type of house tour – I think it was supposed to be set up like a haunted house, but while the outside definitely fit that theme, my few recollections of the inside are more of the pillows someone had strapped to her feet (shoes were forbidden, and she had some type of medical reason that made her prefer to walk on the pillows (bright red, silk covered).
Heh- at least the dreams about food didn’t make me feel icky afterwards. And no, it wasn’t a slashy squicky fanfic – I’ve learned how to avoid even reading those! It was more the character pairing -Hawkeye/Mary Sue – at a very bad time – hours after being with Margaret (a la Comrade in Arms episode) – with her alleged twin sister – the most unbelievable Mary Sue I’ve seen in a LONG time – the twin no one in camp knows exists, let alone is actually in camp – horridly written plot twist, out of character, unrealistic, and how in the WORLD does this writer think the SHOWERS are a possible place to get caught with someone??? Maybe I’m naive, but I’ve seen enough episodes to know that they don’t exactly look like they have the sturdiest contstruction in the world…
