in the dream, but it wasn’t the town where we actually live. I’m not sure just what town it was, but given the fictional characters that showed up later, there’s a good possibility it was Sleepyside.
I’m not sure just how it happened, either, because the dream began with me walking down the street with my boyfriend, and we were passing people we both knew. Then the next scene found me newly married (we apparently eloped while out on the walk *snort*) in the kitchen of my apartment (also like the setting – my apartment in the dream, but not my actual apartment), with my mother and my new mother-in-law who were preparing the food for a reception for us. Several weird points about that (not the least of which was the fact that they were in MY kitchen) – Helen Belden was my mother, with my mother-in-law being Madeleine Wheeler. Strange in itself, but even moreso if you know my opinions of the pairing in the Trixie Belden fandom we would have had to be for that scenario to happen (*sigh* – it’s SOOO not right for me to dream I’m Trixie marrying Jim!!!). Even stranger was the realization that Madeleine was not only in my kitchen, but actually cooking and washing dishes. Oddly enough, her complaints about the quality of my kitchen utensils (especially my mixing spoons) were definitely in character – I was informed that one day of the honeymoon trip they were giving us would be spent in a certain store (she named it, but I neither remember the name of it nor if it was one that actually exists. I knew in the dream, though, that it was an ultra expensive kitchenware shop) picking out new kitchen things.
